Concept
-
Acupuncture employs a holistic approach aimed at nurturing the body's healing mechanisms. By placing fine, sterile needles on key meridian points, acupuncture stimulates natural healing processes. Complementary techniques are also used to enhance the body's ability to achieve homeostasis.
Acupuncture points activate the body's innate healing abilities, known as Qi in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). Qi is the vital energy that invigorates the body and safeguards it against illness, flowing through meridians to nourish cells, tissues, muscles, organs and glands. Disruptions or blockages in Qi flow can manifest as symptoms of specific conditions or illnesses. Through acupuncture, the body's natural healing capacity can be effectively restored.
Most individuals undergoing acupuncture experience minimal to no discomfort, often reporting profound relief, relaxation and improvement in their specific symptoms.
From a scientific perspective, stimulating acupuncture points triggers the release of various nervous system chemicals in the brain, spinal cord and muscles, facilitating the body's innate healing mechanisms.
These chemicals provide substantial health benefits, speeding up the body's recovery process and influencing pain perception. The healing and rejuvenating qualities of acupuncture should be experienced firsthand to determine if it's the right treatment approach for you.

Born and raised in Ukraine, and immersed in a medical environment from an early age, I was inspired by my mother and grandmother, both practitioners. Furthermore, my father's devotion to yoga practice deepened my appreciation for holistic health. In Ukraine, medicine often integrated natural modalities such as exercise, massage, herbology and nutrition based on organically-grown food, creating a balanced approach to healthcare. My philosophy on patient care is rooted in empathy, ensuring each person receives the attention I would want for my loved ones.
My formal education in the medical field began in Ukraine in 1993. By 2005, I had earned a Master of Science in Traditional Oriental Medicine and a Bachelor of Professional Studies from Pacific College of Health & Science. Over the past 19 years, I have practiced acupuncture and continuously enhance my expertise through ongoing comprehensive training as the field evolves and gains mainstream recognition.
Personally, I am passionate about wellness and fitness. This includes active and mental meditation, breathwork, mantra chanting, Hatha and Kriya yoga, nutrition, Chinese herbs and Ayurvedic supplements, as well as Vedic studies and broader topics on spirituality — all of which complement and enrich my professional practice.
